Marketing Communications Writer

The Marketing Communications Writer will be a key contributor to the success of the Marketing Communications team as a master of not only the written word but also content delivery.

The MarCom Writer will be responsible for the clear articulation of product and procedure value propositions. This role will be instrumental in maintaining branding and messaging consistency across communication platforms.

In addition, the MarCom Writer is the responsible person for on-time and on-budget deliver of projects where content is used. This requires strong project management skills.

Primary focus of the role is in the development of content for print, electronic and multimedia tools used for product promotion. This work will extend into specific descriptions of the medical procedures that our products enable and will require a comfort level at working as a writer, editor and project manager.

The MarCom Writer will work with subject matter experts to produce finished copy for use in both physician and patient-facing material. Work crafted will be published in multiple outlets and may need to be tailored for use on the web, in electronic communication; in video and interactive materials; in promotional brochures and data sheets. The position may also contribute to public relations and corporate communications material and may provide MarCom support for the company at large including Human Resources, Training and Investor Relations.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Marketing Communications
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, English, Communications or equivalent experience
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate, competent and fluent in all aspects of desktop publishing and pre-production document and file preparation, with particular focus on video, web, email, MS Office -- especially MS Word and PowerPoint
• Solid editorial experience with portfolio of published work

Desired
• Knowledge of medicine, anatomy/physiology and surgery
• Experience, interest in medical device marketing
• Experience, interest and aptitude for information design

Web Producer/Production
Role Responsibilities
• Manage site production, feature implementation and partner management for a leading software company with start-up focused website
• Liaison to extended Web team and client Partners to determine strategic and technical needs and opportunities
• Interface and consult with Partners to determine strategic business outcomes and influence Partners to deliver appropriate content for mutual promotion
• Interface and work very closely with Marketing and Web teams, managing site production, feature implementation and partner management for website
• Gather and drive a variety of website content
• Review content and test to ensure the highest quality experience for our users
• Handle multiple editorial and production responsibilities concurrently, and work with regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment
• Assist with the production process by coding, uploading images, and supporting content, coordinating with other team members as applicable to ensure smooth and efficient project management
• Troubleshoot, streamline and prioritize production duties to achieve the most efficient production process
• Gather and analyze performance data to help inform production decisions based on traffic patterns and customer feedback
• Participate in creative editorial reviews

Qualifications
• MUST: 4+ years of Web Production, Design and online experience
• MUST: Designer online Best practices Solid Partner management experience
• MUST: Proven experience in driving content with editorial judgment
• MUST: Proven experience in playing a consultative role from a business strategy and technical perspective
• MUST: Understand business strategy, impact and web leverage
• MUST: A thorough understanding of online editorial best practices and priorities, as well as excellent writing and editing skills, experience with complex publishing tools.
• MUST: Strong project management and communication skills.
• Experience in daily content programming and production of a website, including adherence to standards, cross browser/platform compatibility, and ASPX/JavaScript/HTML/Social feeds.
• Ability to manage numerous requests from various internal and external sources.
• Ability to handle multiple editorial and programming responsibilities concurrently, and work well under regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment.
• A thorough understanding of online editorial best practices and priorities, as well as excellent writing and editing skills

We are presently looking for a professional programmer who will be creating scripts to extract data as well as using a composition programming tool to create documents programmatically.

We are looking for a Project Manager doing data analysis as well as run a few internal projects.
